As part of the Strategic Plan, the Board of Education is currently looking at how to address the growing number of students that Allendale Public Schools welcome each year. Allendale Township is one of the fastest growing townships in the county. The number of new families and students continues to grow each year.
As a result of this growth, Evergreen/Springview Elementary is at capacity and additional classrooms are needed, due to both district growth, and the addition of state required all-day kindergarten five years ago.
In order to accommodate our growing number of elementary-aged children, the Board of Education has identified two options for addressing this growth: 1.) A New Early Childhood Center service Preschool through Kindergarten students, or 2.) A new Preschool thought 3rd Grade Elementary School.
Funding would be provided by a potential bond proposal that would be considered by the voters at an election in May 2017. If approved, the bond proposal would allow the district to accommodate district growth, continue to maintain all of our outstanding facilities and support student learning.
