Important Dates

- 11th Grade Required MME: MSTEP Science and Social Studies testing beginning at 7:45am (must stay for the entire testing session which will end around lunch times)

- Last Day of Courses for Graduating Seniors - All assignments & exams must be complete by 5/15/26

NEW Updates and Information

Transportation Notifications - All updates for school transportation are sent through the MyRide K-12 App, please see the instructions in the link to ensure you have the app and have it set to receive those notifications.
Pre-Register to Vote - for 16 & 17 year olds. (click for more information)

REPEAT Reminders & Information

Spring State Required Testing Dates (all AVA Students are required to attend in person for these as required by the State of Michigan):
- MStep Science and Social Studies for Grade 11 on April 29
Prom 2026 - Our annual formal Junior & Senior dance will be held on May 9 at the Goei Center in Grand Rapids. Tickets will be on sale starting April 20. Completed Dance Guest Forms are due to the HS Office by 5/7/26, students can print or pick up up in the HS Office. School dances are open to Allendale Virtual Academy students who are on track with credits towards graduation and and their prior-approved escorted guests and alumni when invited (students should check with their Mentor Teacher to ensure they are eligible).
Falcon Open / Allendale Public Schools Foundation Golf Tournament - Registration is now open for the 14th annual event! Come join us on Monday, June 8 with a 9am shotgun start at Pigeon Creek Golf Course. Please visit www.apsfalconopen.com for registration, details, and sponsorship opportunities.
Working on Classes 4 Days / Week - Keys to success in a virtual hybrid setting are regular communication with AVA staff and consistent work completion. AVA students are encouraged to complete coursework at least 4 days per week and to communicate with AVA Staff at least 2 times per week via email or in person.

AVA Student Handbook:
- Attendance - Keys to attendance in a virtual hybrid setting are regular communication with AVA staff and consistent work completion. AVA students are encouraged to complete coursework at least 4 days per week and to communicate with AVA Staff at least 2 times per week via email or in person.
- Extra/Co-Curriculars - AVA students are not eligible to participate in Athletics but may participate in some clubs, groups, and teams.

Online Offerings

Allendale Virtual Academy utilizes Graduation Alliance to offer online credit recovery courses for our students. This addition to our curriculum allows students to recover credits that were lost during previous school years. Graduation Alliance makes the goal of high school graduation an attainable one.

We provide a learning experience that promotes social, emotional and intellectual development. We develop intellectually capable young people with creative minds, healthy bodies with the ethical values that are needed to contribute wisdom, compassion, and leadership in a global society.
