Hello AHS Families,

The final full month of school is here, hello May! We have less than 3 weeks until we celebrate the graduates of the Class of 2025! And, only 5 weeks until this school year is complete. We hope to continue working together to make it a great end of the school year for all our students. Let's make these final weeks great! 

Important Dates

• Monday, May 5

  • Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week begins (we LOVE our AHS Staff!)

  • AP Biology Exam - 7:45am

  • AP Microeconomics Exam - 11:45am

    • This test could extend beyond the end of the school day. Students might need their own transportation home.

• Wednesday, May 7

  • AP Computer Science A Exam - 11:45am

    • This test will extend beyond the end of the school day. Students will need their own transportation home.

• Thursday, May 8

  • AP World History: Modern Exam - 11:45am 

    • This test will extend beyond the end of the school day. Students will need their own transportation home.

• Friday, May 9

  • AP U.S. History Exam - 7:45am

  • AP Macroeconomics Exam - 11:45am

    • This test could extend beyond the end of the school day. Students might need their own transportation home.

• Monday, May 12

  • Board of Education Meeting at 6pm in the Oakwood Boardroom

• Tuesday, May 13

  • Seniors last day of regular classes before exams

• Wednesday, May 14

  • Senior Exams, as required

• Testing Out & Summer School:

  Please remind your student to keep an eye out for emails with information regarding testing out and summer school. If you have questions, please reach out to your student's counselor. 

• Work Based Learning Meeting on Thursday

  during Advisory Meeting Period - see the email sent from Mrs. VanDyke for more information

• Pre-Register to Vote

  - for 16 & 17 year olds. ( click for more information)

• School Climate Survey link was emailed Friday

  - Each year we put out a survey to gain insights from families, students, and staff on how our buildings are operating and supporting students.  Our district and building level teams look at this information as one of many data points to help guide our instructional and schoolwide practices each year. Thank you for taking time to share your feedback with us!

  • May 14 from 6:15-7:15pm Final PTO Parent Informational Meeting - Meet us at the Evergreen East Media Center for our last PTO meeting of the year!
